For the second year running, SKYMAGIC told a story above the London skyline as part of the Mayor of London’s New Year’s Eve celebrations – showcasing the very best of London to the rest of the world and delivering a message of hope and unity.

Delivered from the Old Royal Naval College in Greenwich and over the River Thames, the show celebrated live entertainment through both abstract and conceptual elements, uniting millions after a challenging year. Scenes drew upon festival and party themes, music moments and sporting highlights, with key motifs including Elton John’s iconic Keyboard, a powerful roaring Lion and an explosive Party Popper moment.

Broadcast live on BBC1 and BBC iPlayer, the drone choreography, augmented by fireworks and lighting, acted as a major part of the New Year Show that left a meaningful legacy in celebration and hope for the year to come.
