brief
SKYMAGIC were commissioned by BBC Studios to design and deliver a one-of-a-kind show for the Queen's Platinum Jubilee Concert. Taking place over Buckingham Palace, our fleet of 400 drones flew for the Royal Family, accompanying dignitaries and the millions of people watching both live and across the world.

Working closely with the Executive Producer’s Creative Team and the Royal Household, we used 400 drones to execute playful and poignant choreography. Key moments of the show included the iconic corgi, the Union Jack, and the pivotal message ‘Thank you Ma’am’. It was an honour for the SKYMAGIC team to be a part of a landmark occasion which will go down in history.
Kyla Owen, Project Lead for the Platinum Jubilee at Buckingham Palace said “I just wanted to send you a note to say the most enormous ‘thank you’ for creating the phenomenal drone display on Saturday night as part of the BBC’s Platinum Party at the Palace concert! I honestly could not believe my eyes as it was happening – it surpassed all expectations by a million miles. The shapes/images you chose could not have been more perfect and there just aren’t enough superlatives to explain how incredible the display was for all of us watching. It really was one of the highlights of the whole Jubilee weekend. It was such a privilege to be able to watch such artistry and genius in real life.”
