The Story

In the presence of H.H. Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, a spectacular opening ceremony marked the reopening of one of the UAE’s most culturally significant institutions, the Al Ain Museum. Directed by Chelsey Raysbrook and produced by DAE Global, the show traced the story of the Al Ain region from the Neolithic period through the Hafit and Umm Al Nar eras — a journey spanning thousands of years, told through light, sound, and motion.

Our drones were incorporated as an active part of the storytelling unfolding on the ground below — forming sweeping swarms that responded to and enhanced the live action on stage. Most strikingly, a starfield of drones appeared overhead, directly guiding performers as they moved through their narrative. Dissolving the boundaries between stage and sky.

Running on timecode sync, our fleet moved in perfect harmony with the wider production at every moment — locking seamlessly to the original score composed by Musicom Studio in collaboration with Alwatan Studio, and the immersive video design by Luke Halls Studio. The show then closed with all 1,600 drones uniting in one final, sweeping murmuration — a crescendo of light to mark the historical legacy that Al Ain represents to the UAE and the world.
