SKYMAGIC collaborated with FiveCurrents to create a drone light artwork to launch a spectacular new public venue in Qatar, Lusail Boulevard. The piece was performed on three evenings as part of Darb Lusail Festival, visually depicting the creation of the Boulevard from the ground up.

Beginning with organic, natural forms; the fleet morphed and transformed in continuous ethereal flight, slowly moving through the elements of nature: Earth, Water, Fire and Wind. As the story progressed towards the construction of the city, the formations moved into geometric and abstract shapes – eventually coming to form the building blocks of the Boulevard itself.

In achieving the creative spectacle, the show pushed drone technology to the limit. Thousands of spectators were able to enjoy the show from the ground below, flown above various live artists from across the MENASA region.
