By Emily Wallace — June 24, 2019

SKYMAGIC – delivering Azerbaijan’s very first drone show.

SKYMAGIC launched a visual spectacle with 250 performance drones high into the night sky of Baku – the country’s very first drone show – delivering a mesmerising show for Azerbaijani telecommunications leader Azercell.

Stepping into a new digital era – Azercell revealed its new brand identity in front of thousands of spectators with our state-of-art drone performance at the iconic Heydar Aliyev Centre on 21st June, 2019.

Our bespoke drone show told the story of a country rich in heritage that is moving into a new digital age – led by Azercell. Designed by our creative team, the synchronised swarm of 250 performance drones rose high above the stunning Heydar Aliyev Centre noted for its distinctive architecture and flowing, curved style. In concert with the building and set to a striking sound track, our performance drones executed an elegant and compelling suite of motifs captivating and delighting the audience beneath them in a fitting finale to the evening’s celebrations, made possible by the support of Azerbaijan’s Civil Aviation Authority.

The event was historical for Azercell – marking a new beginning for the telecoms leader and the first performance drone ever in Azerbaijan. Mixing old with new, through traditional Azerbaijani music and collaborating with SKYMAGIC’s performance drones they conveyed the story of Azercell – a true Azerbaijani company – stepping into a new digital era.
