brief
SKYMAGIC were invited to deliver Morocco's first ever drone light show for the opening ceremony of the 12th African Games 2019.

OUTCOME
SKYMAGIC worked for the ministry of youth and sports for Morocco under the overall concept and production of Richard Attias & Associates – to deliver a never seen before LED drone show at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Morocco’s capital city Rabat. The show was purposely designed to provide the audience with an optimal viewing experience of the three iconic motifs – the African continent, a dove of peace and the Moroccan star – deployed in concert with the wider show creative as part of the stunning opening ceremony.
Imagined by French agency WITH UP and executed by SKYMAGIC, the synchronised swarm of 180 drones was launched high into the night sky around the stadium for fans and spectators to enjoy. The mesmerising drone show lifted the opening ceremony of the African Games to new heights, leaving everyone in the stadium amazed and intrigued.
SKYMAGIC’s Live Operations Director Chiew Soon Hooi said, “It was a pleasure working with Richard Attias & Associates to deliver their creative with regards to the drone show section of the ceremony. It is rare to have such a clear brief but this allowed our visualisation team to work quickly and effectively. We are very proud to be involved in the 12thAfrican Games and delighted to bring our performance drone show to Morocco for the first time. ”
